Police shut down Highway 100 after gunshots strike vehicle

A portion of Highway 100 in Franklin was shut down in both directions during the morning rush hour Jan. 7 after gunfire struck a vehicle.

A 45-year-old Franklin man was driving his work vehicle north in the 7800 block of South Lovers Lane Road around 6:45 a.m. when gunfire struck his windshield, according to a news release from the Franklin Police Department.
