Trial set for man charged in hit-and-run that killed 4-year-old, injured girlfriend

MILWAUKEE — A trial date was set for the man who was accused of a hit and run that left a 4-year-old dead and her 27-year-old mother injured.

Donald Crayton previously said he wanted to enter a plea deal. According to online court records, on Nov. 21, Crayton’s attorney said they were working on a resolution to the case.

Crayton was expected to appear in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Wednesday, Jan. 7, for a plea hearing. However, online court records said, “There has been a change of circumstance,” and Crayton said he “is no longer in a resolution posture.”…
