A historic former department store on Milwaukee’s near south side would be converted into 16 apartments under a plan that received city approval.
The three-story building, 1135 W. Historic Mitchell St., is to have 16 units on its upper floors, with the first floor prepared for a future commercial use – possibly a sit-down restaurant.
