MILWAUKEE— Milwaukee Police say their newest first responder won’t be stuck in traffic, but flying instead.
The department announced the launch of its Drone as First Responder (DFR) pilot program, which sends drones to certain emergency calls to give officers real-time information before they arrive on the scene. MPD says the goal is to reduce response times, increase situational awareness, and improve officer and community safety.
