MILWAUKEE – The whistle sound you may hear on Milwaukee’s east side might be from the owner of a small shop on Downer Avenue, who is handing them out for free.
The idea comes from what the owner of GoodLand Home &Goods Bridget Maniaci says she’s been seeing happen in Minnesota. She says the whistles she is giving out for free it is meant to empower people to speak up.
There are two styles of stainless steel whistles she is offering: one you can wear around your neck, and another shaped like a small pipe that’s loud and doubles as a keychain…
