Original German recipe draws droves to Döner Kebab in Milwaukee

Milwaukee may have deep German roots, but when it comes to our food scene, we’re not exactly a little Berlin.

Sure, at longtime spots like Kegel’s Inn, Mader’s and even Von Trier, you’ll find schnitzel and spaetzle, rouladen and reibkuchen (potato pancakes). We’ve embraced a few German street-fair classics, too − brats, giant pretzels and currywurst are regulars.
