Marquette alum, Wisconsin chief medical officer Dr. Jasmine Zapata will keynote university’s Mission Week

Marquette University will host Jasmine Zapata, M.D., MPH, for a keynote address as part of its Mission Week 2026 programming. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 5, at 3:30 p.m. in the Monaghan Ballrooms of the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Zapata, a 2009 graduate of Marquette’s College of Health Sciences, serves as chief medical officer and state epidemiologist for maternal and child health and chronic diseases at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Her address will focus on her professional and personal experiences, including overcoming challenges and building resilience.

The keynote will be moderated by William E. Cullinan, dean of the College of Health Sciences, and will include a brief question-and-answer session. Registration is required and available here…
