West Bend man charged with attempted homicide

A 52-year-old West Bend man was charged in Washington County Circuit Court on Jan. 26 with attempted first degree intentional homicide.

The charges against the suspect, Kevin A. Fischer, stem from an incident that occurred on Jan. 25. According to a Jan. 26 Facebook post from the West Bend Police Department, “On January 25, 2026, at approximately 3:25 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of South River Road after a 52-year-old man reported that he had stabbed his 45-year-old girlfriend during a domestic dispute. Officers located the woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital, where she is expected to survive her injuries.”

West Bend Police further stated in their Facebook post: “The man, identified as Kevin A. Fischer, was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
