High-End Mequon Burglary Pair Charged, Vanish As Ozaukee Cops Close In

Two people tied to a string of high-end residential burglaries around Mequon have now been charged, and judges have signed off on arrest warrants after prosecutors filed fresh counts this week. Law enforcement says the suspects are still on the run and believed to be connected to multiple break-ins where jewelry, cash and luxury items disappeared from quiet cul-de-sacs and wooded lots. Neighbors told investigators they have seen the pattern repeat itself, and police are again asking residents to speak up if something looks off.

According to FOX6, Ozaukee County filings submitted Feb. 3 name Luciano Silva Cifuentes and Enjerbet Rojas Silva and accuse them of multiple counts that include burglary, theft and criminal damage. Prosecutors requested arrest warrants after the pair did not show up for court proceedings, and those warrants are now active while the investigation moves forward. If the two are arrested, they would face felony counts that carry potential prison time measured in years, the filings state.

Investigators say cellphone IMSI location data and automated license-plate camera footage helped tie the suspects to the Mequon break-ins, with several mobile devices allegedly traveling together and making repeated trips between Florida and the Midwest. As reported by WISN, deputies compared that trail of data with Flock camera hits and trail-camera video to place a vehicle and people near multiple crime scenes.
