Two people and a dog died in a house fire early Saturday morning in Brookfield, and three police officers were injured while responding, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 7:13 a.m. at a home on Brookdale Drive, according to a press release from Brookfield Fire Chief Chris Cass. Crews arrived at 7:20 a.m. to heavy fire conditions and reports of occupants inside the residence, the release said.
