A domestic fight on Milwaukee’s north side turned into gunfire Tuesday morning, sending a 25-year-old to the hospital and leaving a 36-year-old woman under arrest, according to police.
Officers were called to the 2300 block of N. 16th Street around 8:40 a.m., where they found the 25-year-old victim with non-fatal injuries. The person was taken to a nearby hospital, and officers took a 36-year-old woman into custody at the scene.
In a press release shared via Urban Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Police Department said the shooting grew out of a domestic dispute and confirmed the ages of both the victim and the suspect. The department said the suspect was arrested and that “Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.” Investigators did not release information on a possible motive or any weapons recovered.
