Flood Warning for Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties impacing the Oak Creek, and Root and Fox Rivers

UPDATE at 7:15 a.m. on 4/4/2026: The National Weather Service issues a Flood Warning the Oak Creek in South Milwaukee affecting Milwaukee County until further notice.

Minor flooding is occuring along the walking paths along the Oak Creek walking paths, with water being measured at 8 feet. At 6:00 a.m., the stage was 8.3 feet, and the bankfull stage is at 5.5 feet.

SULLIVAN, Wis. — The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Root River at Franklin affecting Milwaukee County, and the Root River Canal at Raymond affecting Racine County until 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 5.

The warning also impacts the Fox River Lower near New Munster affecting Lake and Kenosha Counties.
