An 18-year-old was shot and killed in Milwaukee on Tuesday night, in a deadly burst of gunfire along a busy stretch of the Fond du Lac corridor.
The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. near Fond du Lac Avenue and Hickory Street, just off N. 27th Street in the city’s Amani neighborhood. Officers were seen searching around a warehouse-type building, placing evidence markers as they worked the scene. The victim was pronounced dead there, and investigators are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting. No one was in custody as of late Tuesday, according to WISN.
Corridor Has Seen Other Recent Shootings
The stretch of Fond du Lac Avenue has already been on edge this month. Earlier in April, a separate fatal shooting near Fond du Lac and Armitage left a 40-year-old man dead. That case later led to an arrest, according to CBS58.

Milwaukee police are urging anyone who saw the shooting or who may have captured it on camera to come forward.
