Back in 2021, Becky and Zach Kinzer transformed their mobile espresso and milkshake trailer into the first brick-and-mortar Better Together Cafe in South Milwaukee.
Part of the magic was the location itself: a former Dairy Queen that had long served as a gathering place for local families. But the real heart of Better Together was always bigger than the building. From the start, the Kinzers envisioned a welcoming neighborhood spot built around connection, the kind of place where people linger over coffee, bring their kids for shakes or settle in to catch up with friends.
Now they’re bringing that same spirit to Muskego, where they quietly opened a second Better Together Cafe just over a month ago at W137 S6360 W. Janesville Rd.
The building has had a few past lives over the years — most recently as Sweet Treasures, an antique store and ice cream shop. Before that, it housed a paint-and-ice-cream concept and, even earlier, a bank…
