At least 4 injured, 1 hospitalized after rollover crash involving MCSO squad car

The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office says at least four people are injured and one is hospitalized after a crash involving an MCSO squad car near N. 12th Street and W. Vliet Street on Saturday night.

According to a release from MCSO, the sequence of events leading up to the crash began around 7 p.m. on May 23 when an MCSO deputy in the agency’s Parks Patrol Unit was driving in the area of N. 35th Street & W. North Avenue. There, he saw a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Illinois by a Chicago-area police department.

The vehicle was unoccupied when the deputy saw it, the release says, and the deputy requested backup before approaching it…
