University of Minnesota professor Dr. Ancil Keys helped us win World War II and changed the way we eat.

Dr. Keys made his mark in the world by pioneering research on our stomachs. Early in WWII, the U.S. government asked Dr. Keys to develop a simple, compact, nutritious meal for soldiers.
