Authorities have identified scattered human remains recovered in Washington and Ramsey counties more than three decades ago.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that a 33-year-old missing person case has been resolved with the identification of Denise Elaine Sexton Hartley, 27, who was last known to be in St. Paul, but her death investigation remains ongoing and no arrests have been made.
In June 1993, body parts belonging to Hartley were discovered in two separate locations, near the shorelines of Bone Lake in Scandia and Pig’s Eye Lake in St. Paul, according to the sheriff’s office…
