Three swimmers were rescued when they failed to anchor their boat on a northern Minnesota lake, and watched it drift away from them.
The water emergency was reported around 12:45 p.m. Thursday, when a woman – exhausted from swimming to shore – arrived at a resort on Steamboat Lake, in rural Cass Lake, to report that two of her female friends were in the water.
They had been swimming when their boat “had gotten away from them in the wind.”…
