A south Minneapolis man who was shot by his neighbor is suing the couple who previously owned his home, claiming that they also endured “an escalating pattern of threats, harassment and intimidation” by the gunman and failed to disclose it to prospective buyers.
Davis Moturi and his wife, Caroline, filed a lawsuit earlier this month, alleging that Erik and Jessica Hane sold their house on Grand Avenue South with the intention of “fleeing a deeply hostile and threatening situation involving their next-door neighbor,” John Sawchak, who’s also named in the lawsuit.
The lawsuit claims that the Hanes called the police several times to report that Sawchak was threatening to kill them and obtained a harassment restraining order against him in the days leading up to the couple putting their house on the market in June 2024…
