Texas brothers plead guilty to stealing $8M in crypto after holding Twin Cities family captive

Two brothers from Texas have pleaded guilty to holding a Twin Cities family at gunpoint for over eight hours as they stole more than $8 million in cryptocurrency from them.

On Thursday,  Isiah Angelo Garcia, 25, and Raymond Christian Garcia, 24, both of Waller, Texas, each pleaded guilty to one count of interference with commerce by robbery in U.S. District Court.

As part of the plea, the two will pay more than $8 million in restitution and will each face a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison…
