1 dead, 1 injured in fiery crash after SUV veers off I-35E exit ramp in Eagan

One person is dead and another is seriously injured after an SUV crashed into a traffic signal and combusted early Monday morning in Eagan.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Honda CRV was headed northbound on the Lone Oak Road exit from Interstate 35E just after midnight when it veered off the road, crashed into the pole and caught fire.

The driver, a 28-year-old Eagan woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, State Patrol Lt. Jen Krier said. A 38-year-old passenger from Conyers, Georgia, suffered life-threatening injuries…
