The Irreverent Bookworm in Minneapolis has closed “until further notice due to the heat and a broken AC,” it shared on social media.
The bookstore announced the closure on Wednesday, saying the decision was made for staff safety and the comfort of customers as temperatures rose past 90 degrees around the Twin Cities.
“We don’t own our building, so we are still waiting on the powers that be to show up for us and make it a priority [to] get this fixed!” the announcement says.
