Brooklyn Park police are seeking the public’s help to locate a man who sexually assaulted a woman at gunpoint in her townhome early Friday, July 17.
Police were called at around 5 a.m. to the townhome complex in the 7600 block of Hampshire Ave. N. for a reported armed home invasion. According to police, the victim reported waking up to an unknown man holding her at gunpoint. The man demanded money from the victim before sexually assaulting her, police said. He then left the scene on foot before police arrived.
The man is described as the following:
- Light-skinned Black male
- Age in early 20s
- Medium build and estimated to be 5’2″ to 5’6″ in height
- Wore a black hoodie-style sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and glasses
The incident drew a large police response that included assistance from Crystal and Brooklyn Center police officers, but the man was not located…
