The Brooklyn Park Police Department is warning parents and community members about a “park takeover” that’s apparently been planned for this week.
In a social media post on Monday, the department says it received information about the plans, but did not disclose when or where the gathering was set to be held.
“Park takeovers may seem like harmless fun, but large, unregulated gatherings can quickly become unsafe for youth and the community,” the post detailed.
“Please take a moment to check in with your children and talk with them about the risks of these events and why they should avoid participating.”…
