A Hennepin County judge found 47-year-old Taylor Schulz not guilty by reason of mental illness in the killing of Minneapolis cashier Robert Skafte.
The ruling stems from the Dec. 8, 2023 killing of the 66-year-old Oak Grove Grocery employee. Prosecutors said Schulz beat and impaled Skafte with a golf club.
