Minneapolis residents are raising concerns about Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey’s 11.3% property tax levy increase as City Council members gather resident feedback ahead of a December budget vote.
An informational budget session held by Shawn Green, the city’s budget director, and council member Pearll Warren in north Minneapolis on Sept. 16 turned into a question-and-answer session as residents voiced concerns over the Mayor’s recommended 11.3% property tax levy increase. The hike comes as Minneapolis faces a $60 million budget deficit.
