Victims identified in deadly central Minnesota plane crash

Authorities have identified the two men who were aboard a small plane that crashed Sunday afternoon shortly while taking off just outside of the Twin Cities.

The crash was reported at Buffalo Municipal Airport, roughly 40 miles northwest of Minneapolis, around 4:10 p.m. Sunday.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene. He’s been identified as 39-year-old Mikael Rovala, of Kalispell, Montana.

The other man, 40-year-old Aaron Johnson, of Gillette, Wyoming, was taken to a hospital in critical condition. No update was shared on his current status…
