Waffle Bar is set to open its third Twin Cities location this spring.
The Hong Kong-style ice cream waffle makers debuted in Lyn-Lake Minneapolis in 2018, and will now open at 3810 W. Old Shakopee Rd. in Bloomington in late April or early May.
The business said in a Facebook post the new spot will offer new menu items. According to spokesperson Julie Chen, some of the additions include “espresso/coffee, more savory selections … giving our customers a complete experience.”
It will feature a wraparound bar counter and stools, providing a “family friendly” element and a “fun hangout spot/date night,” Chen told Bring Me The News .
Outside of waffles and coffee, the menu also offers bubble tea, smoothies, and ice cream.
The other locations can be found in Minneapolis at 2758 Lyndale Ave. S. and at 16280 Ipava Ave. in Lakeville. It also operates two food trucks typically found throughout the Twin Cities.
“This spring and summer should be sizzling as warm weather is on the horizon and with 3 locations and two food trucks, the Twin Cities will be waffle-ly busy!” Chen said.
