Minneapolis fugitive arrested for narcotic warrants in Bay County

BAY COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – On Monday, authorities arrested a fugitive out of Bay County for trafficking multiple narcotics.

The suspect was identified as 45-year-old, Ashley Burgess a resident of St. Paul, Minneapolis. The Bay County Warrants Division found that Burgess fled Minnesota to avoid arrest on outstanding warrants on January 10.

On January 24, investigators learned that Burgess was staying at a residence in the city of St. Paul. Warrant investigators contacted the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office requesting them to respond to the residence.

Deputies located Burgess at the home and arrested him.

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office charged Burgess with new violations. He was charged with felony possession of a firearm and possession of crack cocaine.

Burgess will be extradited to Bay County once additional charges are concluded in Minnesota.
