The former manager of the Chick-Fil-A restaurant at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport has been charged with embezzling over $144,000 from the business over a 13-month period.
Timothy M. Hill Jr. was indicted by a federal grand jury on Wednesday on five counts of wire fraud for allegedly pocketing cash deposits meant for Chick-Fil-A and a nearby pizzeria also owned by the Illinois-based franchise The Grove, Inc.
According to the indictment, Hill covered up the thefts by using future cash receipts to make it seem like past deposits were simply delayed rather than stolen.
He allegedly sent regular emails to The Grove’s accounting department claiming he was making belated deposits, when in reality he was using new cash to conceal his actions.
The charges state Hill spent the embezzled money on online gambling, jewelry, subscriptions to adult website OnlyFans, and sent tens of thousands to various individuals, including female airport workers, in exchange for explicit photos and videos.
