Man killed in Minneapolis hit-and-run crash

A man has died after he being struck by a driver who then left the scene in Northeast Minneapolis .

The Minneapolis Police Department says the hit-and-run pedestrian crash happened around 2:30 a.m. outside of the Holiday gas station at 2nd Avenue SE and Hennepin Avenue E.

Officers arrived and found an unidentified man in the street near the entrance of the gas station. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name and cause of death in the coming days.

No arrests have been made in the incident. The crash is under investigation.
