In late December the Walker Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul received 500 to 600 sweatshirts, hoodies and coats from the Society in Minneapolis and St. Paul to distribute to those in need in the Walker community. The items were handed out to the Jack and Jill program at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley School, the Walker Area Pregnancy Support Center, Sharing and Caring Hands and the Onigum Community Center.
