The Minnesota Vikings are riding high at 4-0 this season after a 31-29 win over the Green Bay Packers. It wasn’t the prettiest win but they got the job done. Quarterback Sam Darnold threw for three touchdowns and the defense forced four turnovers which were pivotal after the Vikings built a 28-point lead .
The Vikings weren’t expected to be contenders this season with this being a year of transition after moving on from Kirk Cousins and drafting his replacement. Luckily for the Vikings, Sam Darnold has stepped up in a major way.
Vikings are first 4-0 team to accomplish feat
Getting to 4-0 is quite the accomplishment for the Vikings, especially being that it was a very difficult start to the season. What drives that point home even more is the betting lines. They are the first team in the Super Bowl era to start 4-0 while never being more than a one-point favorite.
It’s a wild thing to consider that the Vikings haven’t gotten the respect they deserve yet. That will come, especially since they have beaten three playoff teams in their last three games.
