Minneapolis Gang Member Pleads Guilty to Illegal Possession of a Machinegun

MINNEAPOLIS – A member of the 10z street gang in South Minneapolis has pleaded guilty for illegally possessing a machinegun, announced U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger. According to court documents, on March 21, 2024, Austin Joevon Toy, a.k.a. “Ace,” 23, knowingly possessed a Glock model 23 .40 semiautomatic pistol with an obliterated serial number and an attached conversion device commonly referred to as a “switch” or an “auto-sear,” which allow for the firearm to be fired as fully automatic weapons with the single pull of the trigger.
