A road rage incident ended with one person being shot in Savage on Monday, authorities confirmed.
The Savage Police Department said officers responded to a shooting in the 13100 block of Independence Avenue around 11:50 a.m. Monday and found one person with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not shared information regarding the victim, who was transported to the hospital.
Savage Communications Manager Emily Gunderson said Tuesday afternoon that no suspects have been arrested, but police have confirmed the shooting was related to a road rage incident that started about a half-mile away near Preserve Trail and Stagecoach Road.
“There is no threat to the public,” the police department stated in a news release Monday, urging anyone with video footage taken in the area between 11:30 a.m. and noon Monday to share that footage with investigators.
