Bryce Borca’s family marks two years since his disappearance in Eagan

The family of Bryce Borca, a 23-year-old Eagan man who went missing after a night out with friends, have spoken out two years after his disappearance.

Borca’s parents, Troy and Carina Borca, released the statement on the two-year anniversary of Borca’s Oct. 30, 2022 disappearance. The pair wrote that they “can’t believe it’s been that long since we’ve seen Bryce’s infectious smile or heard his sweet voice.”

The statement was posted to the Bryce’s Blessings Facebook page. The nonprofit was created to help other families dealing with child loss following the disappearance.

The statement continued:

“Grief and child loss never leave you. But we choose to carry these burdens because of our deep love for you Bryce, and because love came first and is everlasting until we meet again someday in heaven. As time passes, our grief becomes quieter, less jagged and a bit more private. While some may think “they must be getting better,” our grief will always be the same as it was on October 30, 2022. But life around this grief continues to rebuild and we learn how to coexist with it. This was not our plan — this was God’s plan.”
