State patrol busy with crashes over the weekend

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota State Patrol says at least one person died after snow and ice collected on state roads over the weekend. The state patrol released Saturday’s crash totals in a social media post, noting there were 250 property damage crashes and 27 crashes that caused at least one injury. A crash on Highway 52 in Dakota County killed 74-year-old Willard Henry Pohl of Inver Grove Heights. Eighty-eight vehicles slid off state roads due to weather conditions, with six spinouts and seven jackknifed semis.
