St. Paul recently caught two “porch pirates” suspected of stealing packages from homes in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood.
St. Paul Police Department shared video this week showing officers encountering the suspects, one of whom had earlier been caught on doorbell camera swiping packages from a local doorstep.
Dozens of packages were found in the car, including baby clothes, toys and food gift sets.
Police have not provided details of the suspects arrested, nor how many thefts they have been linked to at this time.
The department encouraged residents to provide special instructions to mail carriers like UPS, FedEx and USPS to place packages in a concealed location.
The post also noted that Amazon will deliver to indoor lockers and retailers, while porch lockboxes can be installed at home.
