Woman Seriously Injured in Minneapolis Hit-and-Run

A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a driver in a hit-and-run early New Year’s Day.

Minneapolis police were called to the intersection of 4th Avenue NE and University Avenue NE shortly before 2 a.m. for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

Authorities say the woman was walking in the area when she was hit by a drive who then fled the scene.

The woman was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Her current condition has not been released.

Police have not identified any suspects, and no arrests have been made. The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating and asks anyone with information to contact their tip line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
