Police arrest 29 in shoplifting blitz across multiple Roseville stores, malls

Roseville police say they’ve arrested 29 people in a recent “blitz” targeting organized retail crime, including one suspect who allegedly stole ​​more than $25,000 in goods.

On Friday, the Roseville Police Department announced it had conducted a nine-hour operation alongside local partners to tackle a reported uptick in retail crime. The department also worked with 24 local retailers including Target, Walmart, Rosedale Center, and the Har Mar Mall, saying that extra staff and security guards were brought in to aid the effort.

Roseville PD said the operation resulted in 29 people being arrested and thousands of dollars of merchandise being recovered.

One suspect arrested during the crackdown is Kenneth Owen Machen III, 21, who was charged with one count of felony theft in Ramsey County court on Thursday…
