Driver fatally strikes pedestrian in Shakopee while avoiding stalled car on Hwy. 169

A 25-year-old Marshall man was killed when he was hit by a car in Scott County Friday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Toyota Rav4 was southbound on Highway 169 near Old Brickyard Road in Jackson Township at around 6 a.m. when the driver of the Toyota “maneuvered” to the left lane and struck a pedestrian who was standing in the lane.
