Dog Miraculously Saved Owners From Fiery Plane Crash By Wanting To Go For A Walk

Dogs are known as a ‘man’s best friend,’ and any owner will tell you they can pick up on things long before any humans in the household. Whether it’s coincidence or canine intuition, a dog walk may have saved its owners from a deadly crash.

A plane collided with a house in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, on Saturday. The Brooklyn Park Fire Department arrived at the scene around 12:22 PM. Reports suggest only one person was on board, and they did not survive. The plane was a SOCOTA TBM7 and took off from Des Moines International Airport, Iowa, en route to Anoka County-Blaine Aiport in Minneapolis. While details surrounding the incident remain unclear, authorities believe Terry Dolan, a US Bank executive, was on the plane.

According to People, the couple who lived in the house appeared on Good Morning America and explained how they survived the crash. Kenneth Tobacman lived in the now-destroyed house with his wife, Mary Butler. “All of a sudden, there was a big boom,” Tobacman explained. “The lights went out, and I saw a flash. Sparks or something or a little bit of smoke. I thought, what the hell?”

Tobacman reveals that his wife had left the house to take the dog for a walk and how lucky they were that they weren’t in the building. “If she hadn’t been, I probably could not have rescued her or the dog,” he explained. “It happened that quickly. It is really fortunate that she was out when the plane hit.”

The House Is Reportedly A ‘Total Wreck’ After The Crash

Per a report by Firehouse, Tobacman was at home eating lunch when the plane hit the house. He explained that flames quickly engulfed the building, and by the time he reached the front door, the smoke was so dense he couldn’t even see.
