Murder charges added against woman accused of running red light in deadly north Minneapolis crash

MINNEAPOLIS — The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office added two charges of third-degree murder against the woman accused of running a red light and killing two people in north Minneapolis back in December.

Teniki Steward, 39, was charged with two counts of third-degree murder, adding to the two counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of criminal vehicular operation she was charged with in December.

The crash occurred Dec. 16, 2024, when authorities say Steward ran a red light and crashed into a vehicle at the intersection of Emerson and 26th Avenue North. Two people, later identified as Esther Fulks, 53, and Rose Reece, 57 were killed, and a 17-year-old was injured…
