Foreign students suing to keep legal status in Minnesota schools

(Undated) — Two University of Minnesota international students who are suing over the loss of their legal status are experiencing their first win in court. They received a temporary retraining order to return to the classroom. Chinese national Ziliang Jin had his legal status terminated on April 8th. He believes it’s due to traffic citations. Meanwhile, Metropolitan State University nursing student Rattanand Ratsantiboon was granted the same relief. He had two previous driving convictions, including a DWI in 2018.
