Quality of life study: Minneapolis is 2nd happiest U.S. city, 30th in world

Minneapolis is the second happiest city in the United States and the 30th happiest in the world.

That’s according to the Institute for Quality of Life, which this week released its 2025 Happy City Index, which was topped by the Danish capital of Copenhagen, with Zurich in Switzerland and Singapore in second and third.

The highest ranked U.S. city was New York City in 17th, but Minneapolis was second in 30th place overall, one spot ahead of London and ahead of other U.S. cities including San Diego (34th), Washington D.C. (43rd), and Salt Lake City (56th)…
