EDINA, Minn. — Be prepared for a longer commute if you take I-494 or Highway 100. There’s going to be even more road construction than usual for the next few days.
Starting Thursday night, I-494 will be closed between Blaine Avenue and Babcock Trail in Inver Grove Heights. MnDOT spokesperson Jennie Hinz says the highway will reopen Monday morning at 5:00 a.m.
“They are going to be re-decking the 52 bridge over 494 and also working on the ramps. So, that’s why the closure of 494 underneath the bridges is necessary,” Hinz said…
