Rescue center receives record number of animals following Thursday storms

A wildlife rehabilitation nonprofit says it received a record number of animals following Thursday’s storms in the Twin Cities.

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota says it received 257 new animals on Thursday, marking a new record for the center.

The Roseville-based facility says it anticipates more animals being dropped off on Friday, including squirrels and birds that fell from trees during the storms.
