Apple Valley woman charged in Feeding Our Future investigation

Federal prosecutors charged Dorothy Jean Moore, the owner of Jean’s Soul Food, with several felonies on Friday as part of the Feeding Our Future investigation.

According to federal documents, Moore defrauded the Federal Child Nutrition Program of $1.4 million. Prosecutors say the 57-year-old falsely claimed Jean’s Soul Food served over 600,000 meals to children in the Twin Cities area during the COVID-19 pandemic under the sponsorship of Feeding Our Future.
