Thursday is Juneteenth, the holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Here are three ways to participate:
🎉 Juneteenth Minnesota’s West Broadway Block Party kicks off Thursday at 11:30am with the Jubilee Parade through North Minneapolis.
- The road will remain closed through 6pm for the following street festival, which includes live entertainment, vendors, a kids carnival and exhibits showcasing Black history.
❤️ Rondo’s celebration “The Journey of Four Families,” which runs from noon to 5pm Thursday, includes a reveal of new exhibit panels telling the stories of families who lived in the historically Black neighborhood that was torn apart by I-94.
