Minneapolis has become the site of yet another deadly shooting, with the Minneapolis Police Department responding to a fatal incident that unfolded late at night. According to the official bulletin released by the city, two men were struck by gunfire at approximately 12:15 a.m. on the corner of 14th St and Nicollet Ave, leaving one man dead and another injured.
Upon arriving at the scene following a ShotSpotter alert, officers found the two victims, immediately sprang into action, trying to preserve life. One was quickly transported to Hennepin Healthcare Hospital with injuries that seemed non-life-threatening. The other man, despite the lifesaving efforts which included CPR by the officers, was pronounced dead right there on the pavement, clad in the night’s deep sorrow.
“A family’s life has been forever changed by this unacceptable act of violence,” Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara remarked on the tragedy.
